Crystal Mods
Touhou: Western Launch of Eastern Origins
Demo 4
All the other touhou launchers are okay at best, but leave a *lot* to be desired.
This attempts to fix all that, tons of QoL, and even proper mod support!
I think my mod support is probably the best period. No other launcher has any mod support, and the only other modding tool is completely awful to work with. It even forces mods to apply to ALL games of your! It's ridiculous! (and yes, some mods do actually affect more then 1 game at the same time, and in different ways). This alone already makes this launcher uniquely the best, and thats before achievement tracking, automatic enhanced practice mode, controller checks, shortcut to volume mixer, and other nice stuff.

As of Demo 3: (October 18 2024)
- Achievement chart / achievement tracking! Type anything into a games achievement list and the program saves it automatically. Even track custom run types!
- Player profiles, and you can track achievements per player!
- A quest board that recommends games / challenges around what it thinks the players skill level is, based on their cleared achievements.
- Much better UI
- A new shortcut menu for different folders on your PC.
- A links menu for popular touhou related resources.
- A tools menu to quick launch some popular tools.
- A setting menu with a few customizable settings.
- A setting that prevents a game from launching if you don't have a controller plugged in!
- A notepad in the bottom left for the player to make some small temporary notes.

As of Demo 4 (Nov 1 2024)
- Notebox now textwraps, accepts return, and has a scroll bar.
- TCRAP now closes automatically once the game is launched.
- A new users first game launch shows a message for some quick tips.
- fixed mod load order stuff.
- no more random ??% mark
- Touhou 10 has Reimu and Marisa C achievements
- Touhou 12 has Sanae achievements.
- New setting to hide Easy mode achievements.
- New setting to hide Normal mode achievements.
- New setting to hide PC98 games.
- improved the scroll speed of the achievements list.
- Achievement textboxes now make the font smaller if theres to much text.
- The resources panel removed. max life and bomb info was mostly useless. 1UP info moved to game info for now.
(now for info on mods now supported in demo 4, number indicated supported games)
- 6-8 mod: modernized Point of Collection line.
- 7 Sakuya's Scarf sprite
- 6~17 Kaizo
- Swapped old boss rush mod out for 2 new ones, supporting more games.
- 6 always visible hitbox
- show rank for 10-12
- 15 double boss rush
- 6+ seasons style reimu homing (visuals only)
- 13+ seasons style reimu homing (affects the actual shottype)
- Removed the low quality touhou 8 team swap mods as their mostly crap, but i kept one that only changes the default teams around.

Future Roadmap:
- i'll be trying to find and add about 25 or so more high quality mods for later titles (th15 onward)
- At some point I want to revisit / rework how mod support functions on the backend so users can add their own mods.
- I still also plan on making a curated selection of mods for every game as well, but custom mod support would be nice.
- I want to add support for touhou fangames, and achievements and mods for them as well.
- I want to add support for some non-touhou bullet hell games, and their achievements / mods.
- I kinda want to re-use this achievement tracker system for a few other series people like, such as beat-em-ups, megaman, Souls-genre games, etc.

Anyway, i hope you enjoy the launcher! Report bugs preferably on the discord server, or in the comments section.

Note: To help with organization, move all your touhou games into the provided Game Library folder thats included.
- When selecting the location for each games executable, If your using the v-sync patch aka vpatch (The moriyashrine downloadeds come with vpatch already applied) the exe to select is vpatch.exe, NOT thxx.exe or Touhouxx.exe. This is because the vsync patch is "applied" as it's own separate executable, to always preserve the original unmodded one incase someone even better comes out later on.
